Photojournal Of The Appalachian Trail

While blogging from on the trail, all of the photos I posted were taken on my iPhone 5. Knowing in the long run that I wouldn't be happy with the image quality of the 8 megapixel camera, I also carried along my Canon T1i Rebel dSLR that I use as a backup at work. The first camera body lasted an amazing 1,600 miles - smashing into trees, rocks, shelter floors, muddy trail, and a slew of other woods-like terrain. After dying in a monsoon rainstorm in Vermont, it was replaced with an identical device thanks to Amazon Prime and some friendly shop owners in Killington who allowed me to mail it to their store. After getting home and going through the 4,000 photos my dSLR snapped, I've edited them down and broken them up into 4 parts for your viewing pleasure. There are a lot of photos, but you can click them individually and enlarge the thumbnail to see them better! It might take me a few days, but I'll be adding captions on all of them as I have the time.
Hope you enjoy the visual tour... I for one, despite the occasional mockery from some hikers, am really glad I took along the extra weight.
